Telus Interactive Signage

A demonstration of how a Telus interactive display works. This display was built and produced by CV Studio, a Kinect Camera senses the presence of people, and their hand movements. The bright sun causes a lot of problems with the infrared sensors on it, but we got it working in the end.  People could get their picture taken, and then have it printed for them at the automated kiosk inside.

Behind the scenes notes: I was there to direct, but at the last minute, I became the actor. :)  I look like a goofy Swedish tourist. Love it. Also we only had an hour to shoot, because the sun was coming up so fast, and the glare from the sun would have ruined the shoot. We may add a voice-over to the final version.
